Don't let the crowds discourage you from voting

If you can’t make it to the polls,

don’t want to wait in a line you can still vote!

Most states have voting options on specific dates prior to Election Day
so you don’t have to feel limited from voting only on Election Day.
There are three major ways to vote outside of the polls, Mail-in vote,
Early Voting, and Absentee Voting.

What is Early Voting?

If you know in advance that you are unable to make it to
the polls on Election Day, or you want to avoid the crowd,
some states offer the option to vote early. While you still in
most cases have to physically go to the election offices to
cast your ballot, this could be the best option for your schedule.

Currently Alabama, Connecticut,New Hampshire, Oregon,
Pennsylvania, and Rhode Island do not offer an option to vote
early. Check to see the window for early voting for the other states below.

What is Absentee voting?

Absentee voting allows you to vote by mail,
each state has different rules

Keep in mind, with the option of absentee voting, you do have
to request an absentee voting ballot from your state, and in
some cases you may need to provide proof as to why you can’t
make it to the polls on Election Day.

What is All-Mail Voting?

Ballots are mailed way before Election Day and have an
extended period of time to get their ballots mailed back to the
election offices. Through the mail-in ballots voters are able to
vote on their own time and schedule, as long as it’s within the allotted time frame.
