Planned Parenthood is an organization that has faced major controversy into the procedures that take place within their facilities.  The main misconception from politicians and a lot of people are that Planned Parenthood only gives abortions and only treats women. Both are false and extreme exaggerations as abortions only count to 3% of their operations. Their most common is STI/STD testing and treatment that is also offered to all genders. They also do cancer screenings, give birth control, provide medicines to prevent HIV (PEP & PrEP) to all genders. They also provide transgender health services and hormone replacement therapy. Yes, they do provide abortion services but that's not what they only do. They are here to help anyone, no matter the gender.

Funding

Planned Parenthood's main sources of funding come from Government reimbursements and grants; like all other hospitals and clinics, they get reimbursement for patients who use public programs for healthcare like Medicaid and Title X. another source of funding is through private donations.

Finally, they also have funding from private insurances their patients use to pay for their services, they also use a sliding scale pay system where they base the cost of their services with the patient's income. And since it is a non profit organization, all the payments goes to fund the Planned Parenthood facilities.

"Defunding"

Planned Parenthood doesn't get their funding from the government budget, as explained earlier.
