Reducing Waste with Compost
Composting doesn’t just better the environment by reducing the production of methane, it can benefit each of us on a micro level as well! Roughly 30% of our waste that could be composted is discarded and contributes to greenhouse gasses, this waste could be used to promote health in your garden. Compost has the ability to retain water, which means moderating the use of water is that much simpler. Compost also promotes the growth of healthy bacteria while also diminishing the need for chemically based fertilizers. If you lack a garden or area outside to compost, composting indoors is just as easy! You can compost just about any organic material indoors or out, all the while you are helping to reduce waste and harmful toxins in our atmosphere.
