Make Your Own Toiletries at Home

How much money do you spend for toiletries? Are you looking for some toothpaste that can whiten your teeth? Would you like a facial cleanser that can reduce acne?  Do you believe shower gel can keep your skin soft? People always can hear those things from toiletries advertisements, but let’s think about this question—since these toiletries will only stay on our skin no more than one minute, how can they play these roles effectively?
Have you thought about instead of using those toiletries with mysterious and useless ingredients that you can make your own ones? You can make your own toiletries with natural and simple ingredients—you will only consume what you need for cleaning, no more waste of unnecessary materials.



Toothpaste
2/3 cup baking soda
1 teaspoon fine sea salt
1-2 teaspoon peppermint extract
filtered water
Put baking soda, sea salt and peppermint into a container. Mix them together, stir it and add water to them until it reaches desired consistency.

Facial Cleanser
1/4 cup dry rolled oats
1 tea bag of chamomile tea
I teaspoon bentonite clay
Use a grinder to grind rolled oats and chamomile tea into powder. Mix the powder with bentonite clay well and put it in a container.
Tip: This cleanser can’t work as makeup remover. It is a gentle cleanser.

Shampoo
1/2 cup distilled water
1/4 cup liquid castile soap
2 teaspoons avocado oil
1/8 teaspoon peppermint extract
1/8 teaspoon tea tree oil
Mix all ingredients in a container that you like. You also can add 10 to 15 drops of essential oils that you like to add fragrance.

Body Wash
1/2 cup liquid castile soap
1/2 cup optional ingredients
It depends on your skin type. For example, if you have very dry skin, you can try to use raw honey. Half cup liquid castile soap and half cup raw honey, add a few drops of essential oil if you like, then mix all together. If you have acne on your body, you can try add a few drops tea tree oil in your body wash. And we done! You can try different combinations to see which one works best for your skin—they are natural ingredients that you even can eat them, don’t be afraid to try them out.

1.     You should know what are allergic to prevent yourself from allergy reactions.
2.     If you have skin problems, you should ask your doctor before you try new things.
3.     Keep it simple! Don’t add too much ingredients!
