Mobile - The Future of Voting

There are countless reasons for people who do not vote. This concern mostly stems from the younger generations who feel like their vote does not “count” or the process is too tedious. But what if I told you voting can be simple and easy? What if I told you that you could vote on your phone right now? Now does that sound more appealing and easier? If you answered yes, then continue reading to find out more. To give some context on how much of an impact the younger generation can contribute to a vote, here is a picture telling us that younger people prefer to text for a variety of reasons. The process of registration to vote can be very time consuming, which can result in a lower number of votes. Younger generations prefer using their mobile phones because of how accessible and fast it is. If voting was implemented for anyone with a mobile phone with text messages, then it would boost more young voters. Text messages will help simplify the process faster because voting can be right on their fingertips. A young teen named Brandyn Prince mentions that that would want to “Make voting mobile. Our generation is so technology-driven that, if voting were literally at our fingertips, then that's an initiative to get all young people to vote”. Mobile phones can be the future of voting, especially towards a young audience who consumes a lot of their time these days on their phones going through social media and texting. When a voting system is created using the form of text messages to cast a vote, then there would be a rise of young voters who could contribute their voices in their communities.
