Universal Healthcare - Ethan Behee

Many countries provide universal healthcare for their residents, so why is it that America is one of the wealthiest countries on the planet, but doesn't offer universal healthcare to its residents? Shockingly, "the US is the only country in the developed world that does not provide health care to all of its citizens" (Chapman, 2017).

Although Obamacare reduced the number of people without health care from 40 million to 28 million, 28 million is still an astounding number of people who could go bankrupt from any sickness or medical visit. People should be able to afford to survive, especially in a country with as many resources as America. Everyone should have universal healthcare.
