Weirdos or sustainable people?

People aren't mowing their lawns and its not just because they are lazy. One of which is Terry Dube who has turned his lawn into an "eco habitat". It has gotten attention because it is an "unkempt property" which goes against his local laws. Many others are following suit but have been evicted and kicked out of rented properties. There must be some walk around for this since there is so much potential for small habitats within peoples living property.
