Millennials Are Thinking Green When Choosing What Company To Work For!

Millennials are people born between 1980 and 2000. They make up one third of our current workforce. In the very near future millennials will make up half of the workforce in America. This means that companies out there need to start offer things that this particular demographic is interested if they aren't already. One of the factors to millennials is sustainability. This generation is the most environmentally conscious group of individuals ever. Companies who want to attract the best and brightest employees in the future need to have a sustainability mission statement to displays their commitment to these environmental issues.

Millennials want to feel like the company they work for has the same values as they do. They want to feel like they're making a difference, not only in their careers but also in the environment. This means conserving energy by working from home and not having to be in the office all the time. The workplace should have a native landscape that doesn't require a bunch of harmful fertilizers, pesticides, and unnecessary wasteful irrigation systems. Companies in our urban environments need to take notice and align themselves with the same values as their future leaders if they want to remain competitive in the talent pool.
