Instead of treating our local streams like wastewater gutters that leave them unstable, construction is being done to restore these water channels back to "stream corridors".
This is definitely a longer process than most urban naturalization tactics but stops the instability of the waterways that could potentially damage the surrounding sewers and urban landscapes. This vastly improves the standard of living in the surrounding ecosystems and urban living. With the right planning and careful monitoring of such projects, it can vastly improve the local environments and the people inside of them.
