Proteins must have only the supporting role in the people’s consumption. Most Americans consume too many proteins, so they do not achieve the weight-loss effect, but the opposite one. 10% to 35% of day's calories from protein foods are just enough for adults in the U.S. For that purpose there are also some recommendations in food consumption which should be followed in order not to cause any trouble to the organism. But different people need different amount of protein. Protein requirements are thoroughly divided in six main groups depending on lifestyle, activities and health state: pregnant and breastfeeding women, athletes, dieters, vegetarians, and vegans. The latter often forget that vegetable proteins are somehow incomplete, and lack required amino acid elements.
