Americans Consume Less Protein

 for more information
In the U.S. the last tendencies are so that Americans consume less protein. The figures of 11% decline in annual per capita consumption of protein show the real situation. But that is not matter of their personal will or new sports trends. The thing is the amount of protein available for Americans has just declined and is declining due to strong export demands: the USA sells more meat and poultry which are the main sources of animal protein, abroad. Another reason for this phenomenon is the aftermath of the food inflation due to augmented input costs on poultry farming and the pressure on the profitability of livestock, which in its turn shattered the supply chain.
