“Japan says it won't comply with bluefin tuna ban.”

This is a quote from a recent article in the Washington Post . Japan has been shown to eat ¾ of the caught Bluefin in the world. The proposed ban would come sometime this month and Japan may not have any choice but to comply. This would be an enormous win for these majestic animals. For so long the Bluefin population has been dwindling and in recent years their population has been plummeting. Demand for the fish has done nothing but grow and there has been no plan to help replenish their numbers. Now, Greece, Spain, Italy and Japan are the last opposers of the ban. While the US and France are now in agreement with Monaco and will, hopefully stand firm in their belief that this creature needs to be protected like any other endangered species.
