It's Gonna Be a Bumpy Ride!

Brace Yourselves! We're Heading Into Uncertain Election Territory!

While individual states have certain laws, and contingency plans, for emergency election delays/postponements, the overall preparedness of our nation's voting system is facing the challenge of operating amidst a virus outbreak.

Only three states allow for voting to be conducted completely by mail (Oregon, Washington, and Colorado), and remaining states may have to follow suit as a means of ensuring their residents have the ability to vote should we face a more in-depth quarantine.

Political occurrences leading up to elections, such as campaigning, are also being affected, and now more than ever is is important for voters to assume more responsibility in terms of conducting research, and informing themselves with reliable information.

Regardless how it all plays out, an emphasis on keeping each other informed on how to vote when our time comes is extremely valuable. There will be confusion, but together we can move through this, and uphold the democratic process to the best of our abilities.
